aims ultimately to capture the past and present of the region currently encompassed within Poland's borders, at this unique turning point in it's history.

As Poland moves further away from its experience of the communist era in Europe, the effects of this period are being steadily erased. Ironically the Polish People's Republic - through its lack of development - helped to preserve images from the past that otherwise would have been lost long ago.

During the 1990s work was commenced on a project to capture these final traces, before they disappear forever.
