| Jozef Konrad Korzeniowski
was a unique figure in English literature, not only because of
his genius as a writer of novels, short stories, and
essays but also because of the variety of his experience,
Joseph Conrad (original name Jozef Teodor Konrad
Korzeniowski) born in Berdyczow, Poland, on December 3,
1857, died in 1924, came from the nobility of
Russian-dominated Poland.
