His works |
|
Karol Szymanowski was one of Poland's outstanding composers and the
foremost Polish composer of the early 20th century. He evolved from
Neoromanticism,
through Impressionism and Expressionism to a style based upon the elements
of Polish folklore. Worked on many forms: opera - Hagith King Roger; ballet
- Harnasie; oratorio - Stabat Mater; symphonies; piano and violin concertos,
chamber music choral works and songs.
